Disadvantage: High tooling costs and long setup lead times. Up-front costs are high due to the design, testing, and tooling required. Part design restrictions. Small runs of parts can be costly.
BLOW MOLDING!
Products: Spray bottles, water bottles, and storage containers Advantage: A revolution form of technology. It can produce variable products. Low cost. Disadvantage: Limited to hollow parts. Low strength. To increase barrier properties, multilayer parisons of different materials are used (thus not recyclable)


VACUUM FORMING!
Products: Packaging. Household items. Advantage: Highly detailed formed products are possible in a range of sizes. Higher production speeds than fabricated assemblies. Reduced equipment costs for large parts as large parts do not require high tonnage presses as would be true for injection molding. Disadvantage: There may be additional costs or resources needed to finish components
